So last Saturday I attended a book signing for Kiersten White for her new book Paranormalcy. Kiersten isn't a local author, but she's originally from Utah.
The picture is terrible because it was so sunny, and hot, and I stink at using a camera. Anyway, I've read a lot of paranormal books lately. A lot. But this one was different. This one is so hilarious, and you don't find many paranormal books that are also comedies. If you are looking for a fun read, check it out. The title of this bleeping post will also make more sense.
Other books I read this past week:
Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins: More violent than the other two books, but wonderful writing, and a satisfying ending to the trilogy.
The Clockwork Three by Matthew Kirby: Great read for middle grade readers (8-12)
Linger by Maggie Stievater: This book is a sequel to Shiver. Stievater is a pro at description. Some of her prose are amazingly beautiful. I had a hard time getting into it at first because the narrators switch so often, but if you liked Shiver, you'll like Linger.
What I'm reading now:
City of Bones by Cassandra Clare.
