1) Maile fought Brayden (age 14) for the Barbie pole and won. She may be just over 3 and a half feet, but don't mess with this girl.
2) After catching a fish, Maile dropped the Barbie pole in the lake. But of course, it wasn't her fault because "It was an accident." She seems to think that saying this always clears her of any blame.
3) Kea almost caught a fish, but it snapped her line. She did, however, manage to hang onto the box of pretzel M&Ms with her dear life. At least she has her priorities straight.
4) We had great scenery.
5) We found many uses for T-shirts.
Ah, don't you just love the weekends?
I can just see this happening to us. Losing poles, and all or even falling in. :)
ReplyDeleteMy kids have been BEGGING me to take them fishing. I dont know how my two younger ones even know what it is because they've never been and quite frankly we dont talk about it much. My in-laws go often, so I keep telling them, ask grandma and grandpa! Sooner or later it'll work right? :)
We went with my friend Julie, who did all the work. All I had to do was show up with the goodies. Definitely keep trying the grandparents thing.
