The Ill-Fated Ones

When you're horrible pet owners, your pets die.  I've talked about this many times.  But one of the pet rats, Theodore, died.  Maile was crying her "eyes out because it hurt her heart" even though it wasn't even her rat.  Her rat Bailey was alive and well. 

We really do try to take care of these things.  Honestly, we do.    Kea informed us that her science teacher said, "Rats are social animals."  So for Showcase Friday, I present to you Oreo, the ill-fated rat.

What's wrong with us?  Why do we keep buying pets?  I don't know.  Maybe I need to be bumped up on The SIX crazy scale.

Anyway, Maile's an actress, and her agency has her signed up for all these websites that send me emails about audition possibilities. I got this and thought it was really funny.
