Easter, a Time for Wielding Baseball Bats and Knives

Soooo......I've been absent for a long time. My health has left a lot to be desired.  A whole lot.  So what event (besides being pestered by Brian and Ashley) was significant to bring me back to the written word?  Easter.

The annual Lonsdale Easter egg hunt was a smash hit as always.  My stamina is non-existent, but I made it through without collapsing.  Every year the group seems to grow exponentially.
But other than the Easter egg hunt, our own Easter celebration was a relative flop.

This year Kea announced that she didn't believe in the Easter bunny, but she just played along to make us happy.  And then Hubby Grant hid the girls' baskets in their toy room, and we acted like we heard some noises, so we told the girls to go check it out.  But the whole charade scared them both half to death, so they were asking for a baseball  bat and knife before they would go check it out.

They settled for a flashlight, and the whole way up the stairs, Maile was screaming, "Chucky's here!  Chucky's here!"

Okay, here's Chucky.

And here's the Easter Bunny.
Obviously different, right?  Apparently not to our traumatized kids.  Hope you all had a wonderful Easter.
